Giving Day is a fun 24-hour online fundraising drive where we, as Bayanihan along with other project teams from UCSC, have an opportunity to raise money by connecting with our supporters to help donate to our project (PCC)!!

Bayanihan’s 28th annual Pilipino Cultural Celebration (PCC) will portray the institutional, interpersonal, and internalized oppression of the LGBTQ+ community while calling in our Filipino community to define and practice what it means to be an ally. We are utilizing PCC as a platform to strengthen ties and empower not only our community, but also our allied communities at UCSC through collaboration and creating an open dialogue.

For the past 28 years, our growing cast has been able to showcase our culture and narrative through a play incorporating a repertoire of song, dance, and spoken word performances. This production will feature several performing aspects under Bayanihan, including Alay, Haluan, Isang Himig, Kasama, Pagkakaisa Dance Troupe, and People Power. We hope to continue the legacy of notable alumni who have paved the way for continued representation and appreciation of Filipino culture.
